On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Dr. Mehvish Riaz, Director, China Study Centre, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, hosted a captivating Chinese calligraphy event. Ms. Adeela Saeed, a Chinese instructor at the university, taught Chinese calligraphy to the participants. The highlight of the event was the demonstration of Chinese calligraphy, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Ms. Adeela Saeed emphasized the significance of understanding Chinese culture, fostering cross-cultural communication, and highlighting the deepening relations between China and Pakistan through cultural activities. She shared the history and formats of Chinese calligraphy. The event acted as a bridge, encouraging a cultural exchange between the two nations, and culminated with students’ demonstration of Chinese calligraphy.
