Dr. Mehvish Riaz, Director, China Study Centre organized a captivating presentation by Ms. Adeela on “Chinese Ancient Marriage Customs” at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore. The presentation offered an in-depth look at the customs, rituals, and symbolic meanings associated with Chinese weddings of the past. The Chinese language instructor highlighted various elements of ancient marriage ceremonies, including the intricate matchmaking processes, ceremonial rites, and the cultural significance of these traditions in Chinese society. Students leant Chinese vocabulary related to wedding customs as well.
