On November 16, 2023, at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, students got to learn cool stuff about winter in China with Syed Ali Gilani. Dr. Mehvish Riaz, who runs the China Study Centre at UET, set up the fun event. They talked about winter festivals brainstormed vocabulary related to winter and shared words in Chinese related to winter and related traditions. Mr. Gilani explained the interesting customs people in China follow during the winter season. It was a cool way for students to discover more about how winter is celebrated in China, and the event showed that UET likes sharing different cultures with its students.
