On November 15, 2023, students at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, were treated to a one-of-a-kind experience – an enthralling digital exploration of China. Mr. Abdul Basit Bokhari served as the enthusiastic guide, leading students on a journey through China’s diverse landscapes, cultural landmarks, and vibrant traditions. Dr. Mehwish Riaz, the organizer and Director of the China Study Centre at UET Lahore, orchestrated this immersive event to broaden students’ horizons regarding Chinese culture and history.
In this dynamic virtual expedition, Mr. Bokhari adeptly steered students through iconic landmarks, bustling urban scenes, and picturesque landscapes, offering a vivid window into the heart of China. From the storied Great Wall to the contemporary skyline of Shanghai, students digitally traversed the country’s rich tapestry. The event not only delivered an enlightening experience but also underscored UET’s commitment to nurturing global awareness and cross-cultural understanding. Through this virtual odyssey, students cultivated a profound appreciation for the beauty and diversity that characterizes China, all from the comfort of their campus.
